What is the best music is impossible to define. Just because it's played by a

virtuoso player, doesn't mean it's great music. It might not reflect the soul of a people, which is really my criteria for great music. Mickey Hart Mankind are apt to be strongly prejudiced in favor of whatever is countenanced by antiquity, enforced by authority, and recommended by custom. Robert Hall I'm very lucky. I'm very fortunate that my books have never gone out of print - none of them. Paula Danziger This whole thing about winning and losing is muddy waters. But I can remember, as a young actor, just walking around this city and not being able to get arrested. Jeffrey Tambor Family responsibility, yes, and always. Family bankruptcy due to the cruel rules of government, no. Barbara Mikulski

Growing up in Memphis and listening to all kinds of music and dreaming... So that

was one of the first times I wrote a complete song and set it to music and the whole bit. From then on, I was busy with it. William Bell Well, one thing for sure, I won't be remembered for 'Free Willy.' Or maybe I will. Michael Madsen Let us more and more insist on raising funds of love, of kindness, of understanding, of peace. Money will come if we seek first the Kingdom of God - the rest will be given. Mother Teresa Friends are as companions on a journey, who ought to aid each other to persevere in the road to a happier life. Pythagoras To be compared to Will Smith is probably one of the coolest things because that's who I came up admiring. Nick Cannon

My idea here is that, inasmuch as certain cognitive tasks and principles are tied to

nature's laws, these tasks and principles are indifferent to language, culture, gender, or the particular mode of information that is provided. Edward Tufte Most child actors go through that. Unless you can transition into an adult star, your career is over. Morgan Brittany I was dating a guy that was a huge wrestling fan and I'm embarrassed to say it now but I used to make fun of him for watching it. Torrie Wilson It has been my experience that if we make the effort to listen to people when we meet them, and work to get to know them a little, it is then easy to find something likeable in practically anyone. Bryant H. McGill I do not read advertisements. I would spend all of my time wanting things. Franz Kafka

The anguish of the neurotic individual is the same as that of the saint. The

neurotic, the saint are engaged in the same battle. Their blood flows from similar wounds. But the first one gasps and the other one gives. Georges Bataille For the creation of a masterwork of literature two powers must concur, the power of the man and the power of the moment, and the man is not enough without the moment. Matthew Arnold I encourage everyone out there to get involved. Troy Vincent It isn't a disgrace not to reach the stars, but it is a disgrace to have no stars to reach for. Benjamin E. Mays A lean compromise is better than a fat lawsuit. George Herbert

The arts are not just instantaneous pleasure - if you don't like it, the artist

is wrong. I belong to the generation which says if you don't like it, you don't understand and you ought to find out. Ethel Barrymore The Word of fire burns today On the lips of our prophets in an evil age. Margaret Walker I'll keep evolving and put that into my songs. Alanis Morissette In a novel, I could submerge my ego in a character's and let his perceptions take over. Elizabeth Moon Everybody is ignorant, only on different subjects. Will Rogers

All my stories were usually titled, 'White House Says,' 'President Bush Wants,' and I relied

on transcripts from the briefings. I relied on press releases that were sent to the press for the purpose of accurately portraying what the White House believed or wanted. Jeff Gannon I have the Pleasure to assure you Congress pay particular Attention to the Defence of New Jersey, and hitherto have denied us nothing which we have Asked for that Purpose. Abraham Clark The young have aspirations that never come to pass, the old have reminiscences of what never happened. Hector Hugh Munro This country isn't a melting pot. Think of this country as a stir fry. That's what this country should be. A place where people are appreciated for who they are. Jane Elliott Power tires only those who do not have it. Giulio Andreotti

I guess I judge my films by how pleased I am with the work I

do, so it's kind of on another level. If they do well at the box office, then that's great. Then I'm really pleased about that too. Hugo Weaving If Columbus had an advisory committee he would probably still be at the dock. Arthur Goldberg Feelings or emotions are the universal language and are to be honored. They are the authentic expression of who you are at your deepest place. Judith Wright We should often feel ashamed of our best actions if the world could see all the motives which produced them. Francois de La Rochefoucauld A Good School deserves to be call'd, the very Salt of the Town, that hath it. Cotton Mather

I have serious concerns about whether it's prudent to give any foreign country substantial leverage

over the U.S. economy. Instead of spending $80 billion on important programs here at home, we're sending this money overseas just to pay interest on our debt. Tim Johnson Oh, I think every author is inspired by all of the books that she reads. Cornelia Funke Early One Morning takes time and, I mean, all things like that I felt were very important. Anthony Caro The whole business is built on ego, vanity, self-satisfaction, and it's total crap to pretend it's not. George Michael For me, the guitar synthesizer is a great writing instrument. Andy Summers

You that would judge me, do not judge alone this book or that, come to

this hallowed place where my friends' portraits hang and look thereon; Ireland's history in their lineaments trace; think where man's glory most begins and ends and say my glory was I had such friends. William Butler Yeats It is the genius of our Constitution that under its shelter of enduring institutions and rooted principles there is ample room for the rich fertility of American political invention. Lyndon B. Johnson Anything that is worth doing has been done frequently. Things hitherto undone should be given, I suspect, a wide berth. Max Beerbohm A lot of people attack the sea, I make love to it. Jacques Yves Cousteau Ask Bill Clinton about Yasir Arafat. Clinton and Barak did everything they could in 2000 at Camp David. Arafat walked away from it. Peter T. King

Otherwise we get off the track and we do not fulfil the historical role which

we want to fulfil: to help the masses, the exploited and the oppressed of the world, build a classless society, a world socialist federation. Ernest Mandel Great art is an instant arrested in eternity. James Huneker I'm not concerned with your liking or disliking me... All I ask is that you respect me as a human being. Jackie Robinson True as the needle to the pole, Or as the dial to the sun. Barton Booth If I want to continue to build the kind of effort we have with Do Something, being in a public office would help. I wouldn't rule it out, but it's not something I feel determined to do. Andrew Shue

All forms of tampering with human beings, getting at them, shaping them against their will

to your own pattern, all thought control and conditioning is, therefore, a denial of that in men which makes them men and their values ultimate. Isaiah Berlin I wish, naturally to prevent the possibility that someone may write an accidental, superficial, incomplete and perhaps untrue picture of me. Conrad Veidt While I admire the insights of many of the people in the world of computing, I get this cold feeling that I speak a different language. Clifford Stoll Michael Jackson and I talk all the time. I think we understand each other in a way that most people can't understand either of us. Macaulay Culkin Remember one thing about democracy. We can have anything we want and at the same time, we always end up with exactly what we deserve. Edward Albee

I'm trying to eliminate every vestige of my own personality, style, approach and get into

somebody else's skin. Sometimes I feel I've accomplished it. But when I don't, I'm nobody at all, having left myself at home. Judy Holliday True nobility is exempt from fear. Marcus Tullius Cicero Hugs can do great amounts of good - especially for children. Princess Diana The main dangers in this life are the people who want to change everything... or nothing. Nancy Astor Our gratitude to the American people is immense and we should never be embarrassed to express it. Jalal Talabani

Maybe it's because I'm getting older, I'm finding enjoyment in things that stop time. Just

the simple act of tasting a glass of wine is its own event. You're not downing a glass of wine in the midst of doing something else. David Hyde Pierce It's a Tim sandwich. The meat is fresh, but the bread is moldy. Daniel Craig But everyone I know reaches a point where they throw out their arms and go beserk for a while; otherwise you never know what your limits are. I was just trying to find mine. Robert Smith So there's always been this clash between what is the public good - that which belongs to all of us in common - and what can be exploited for a private interest. Neil Abercrombie It is the strange fate of man, that even in the greatest of evils the fear of the worst continues to haunt him. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

An American cannot converse, but he can discuss, and his talk falls into a dissertation.

He speaks to you as if he was addressing a meeting; and if he should chance to become warm in the discussion, he will say 'Gentlemen' to the person with whom he is conversing. Alexis de Tocqueville I really went back through a lot of the dark corridors of my life in this. I wanted people to know who I am based on my music, not on what they read in the tabloids. Lisa Marie Presley Opposition may become sweet to a man when he has christened it persecution. George Eliot If organized religion is the opium of the masses, then disorganized religion is the marijuana of the lunatic fringe. Kerry Thornley However, if the religions in essence merely repeat statements from the United Nations Human Rights Declaration, such a Declaration becomes superfluous; an ethic is more than rights. Hans Kung

Helped are those who create anything at all, for they shall relive the thrill of

their own conception and realize a partnership in the creation of the Universe that keeps them responsible and cheerful. Alice Walker I am in favor of community policing because it builds better working relationships with the communities. Vincent Frank Money is time. With money I buy for cheerful use the hours which otherwise would not in any sense be mine; nay, which would make me their miserable bondsman. George Gissing So I wonder if anything should ever be off limits. Kathy Griffin Seek not to understand that you may believe, but believe that you may understand. Saint Augustine

I've always had the perspective that roles come into my life when I need them

most and sort of teach me lessons. The same can be true of films, films are released into society to aid in a lesson, inspire people, comfort people. Bryce Dallas Howard Science cannot solve the ultimate mystery of nature. And that is because, in the last analysis, we ourselves are a part of the mystery that we are trying to solve. Max Planck The saddest songs are written when a person is happy. Merle Travis In the tight belly of the dead, Burrow with hungry head, And inlay maggots like a jewel. Karl Shapiro True champions aren't always the ones that win, but those with the most guts. Mia Hamm

World Affairs Councils are great organizations. They help keep people throughout our country alive to

important developments in world affairs and underscore that, in the country, we stay engaged and we are part of the world. George Schultz I don't think there is a national pasttime. Watching TV is a national pasttime. Really. If there is a national pasttime, it is watching TV. Michael Lewis The poetry of a people comes from the deep recesses of the unconscious, the irrational and the collective body of our ancestral memories. Margaret Walker I was really small when jazz broke through in England and I can still remember sneaking off to the living room to listen to it on the radio - much to my parent's disapproval. Jeff Beck Thom is one of those wonderful people to cook for because he absolutely loves it, just loves it. He loves to eat and drink and he'd be a great guest at any dinner party. Ted Allen

Some otherwise sane scientists have seriously proposed that we tuck this deadly garbage under the

edges of drifting continents but how can they be sure the moving land masses will climb over the waste and not just push it forward? David R. Brower Talent alone won't make you a success. Neither will being in the right place at the right time, unless you are ready. The most important question is: 'Are your ready?' Johnny Carson Nothing shortens a journey so pleasantly as an account of misfortunes at which the hearer is permitted to laugh. Quentin Crisp Eddie Haas talked a lot about not hitting the ball in the air. Dale Murphy The keystone of successful business is cooperation. Friction retards progress. James Cash Penney

I don't worry about great visuals that they showed that weren't actually running on real

hardware. It doesn't matter. Gamers don't make their purchase decisions based on movies that were shown in May for products that come out in March. J Allard The beautiful cannot be the way to what is useful, or to what is good, or to what is holy; it leads only to itself. Victor Cousin We wanted to offer something new to our audience. I hate it when bands stop taking chances. Kirk Hammett No man fails who does his best. Orison Swett Marden If I leave, reality will devour me. Then they will all really be dead. Asne Seierstad

In life, the first thing you must do is decide what you really want. Weigh

the costs and the results. Are the results worthy of the costs? Then make up your mind completely and go after your goal with all your might. Alfred A. Montapert With Shakespeare and poetry, a new world was born. New dreams, new desires, a self consciousness was born. I desired to know to know myself in terms of the new standards set by these books. Peter Abrahams Sentimentality - that's what we call the sentiment we don't share. Graham Greene It's all storytelling, you know. That's what journalism is all about. Tom Brokaw Individually, museums are fine institutions, dedicated to the high values of preservation, education and truth; collectively, their growth in numbers points to the imaginative death of this country. Robert Hewison

After all, you're not exactly a nation like all the other nations. You are unique,

if only because you are such an ancient people, and because of the way you are spread all over the world and your obvious success in many fields. Jean-Marie Le Pen The priest is the personification of falsehood. Giuseppe Garibaldi In all science, error precedes the truth, and it is better it should go first than last. Horace Walpole When the fire of prayer goes out, the barrenness of busyness takes over. George Carey Intimates are predestined. Henry Adams

I'm fairly competant as a director and actor, but I am Mr. Neurotic as a

writer. I just don't have enough confidence in my abilities to take criticism well. I take it personally. Start with 'It's a masterpiece,' and then tell me what you think could be changed. Tim Robbins I have always believed, and I still believe, that whatever good or bad fortune may come our way we can always give it meaning and transform it into something of value. Hermann Hesse The strength and power of a country depends absolutely on the quantity of good men and women in it. John Ruskin My mother was the prettiest woman in the town. He was a bit older than her. They made me. And he split. Pierce Brosnan A good balance of winning and losing is important. If you just win all the time, you won't get anything out of it; having some tough losses can be really important. Andrew Shue

Bureaucracies are inherently antidemocratic. Bureaucrats derive their power from their position in the structure, not

from their relations with the people they are supposed to serve. The people are not masters of the bureaucracy, but its clients. Alan Keyes My father was a very unhappy person, very sarcastic, and my mother was very nervous and worried about what people thought. They weren't monsters, but it wasn't a good childhood. Paula Danziger Once a Bond fan, always a Bond fan. Richard Kiel Winning is habit. Unfortunately, so is losing. Vince Lombardi On a group of theories one can found a school; but on a group of values one can found a culture, a civilization, a new way of living together among men. Ignazio Silone

I'd love to do some bedtime stories for kids or that kind of thing. But

with the demands of the shooting schedule and balancing the demands of being a single mother, it's a wonder you can squeeze in anything. Roma Downey A big part of financial freedom is having your heart and mind free from worry about the what-ifs of life. Suze Orman Punishment is not for revenge, but to lessen crime and reform the criminal. Elizabeth Fry I have a new television show in the works, and that is all I can say right now. Angie Stone It takes a lot of courage to show your dreams to someone else. Erma Bombeck

I am not a Catholic; but I consider the Christian idea, which has its roots

in Greek thought and in the course of the centuries has nourished all of our European civilization, as something that one cannot renounce without becoming degraded. Simone Weil Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power. Al Gore My best birth control now is just to leave the lights on. Joan Rivers During one of my early seminars, there were a bunch of seminar junkies there. Leonard Orr The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated. Mahatma Gandhi

Somebody said to me this morning, 'To what do you attribute your longevity?' I don't

know. I mean, I couldn't have planned my life out better. By all accounts I should be dead! The abuse I put my body through: the drugs, the alcohol, the lifestyle I've lived the last 30 years! Ozzy Osbourne I was not a trained actor. Frankie Avalon Commitments the voters don't know about can't hurt you. Ogden Nash Americans have long recognized the need to protect our public lands and their vast resources. Barbara Boxer My experience with Buffalo Springfield was that they did not rehearse. Jim Messina

I'd love to have another film to go on to. I'm in the mood to

work. But I have to be patient, you know, to find that particular kind of project. Occasionally I'll write one myself if I can summon up the energy. Peter Weir I can't wait for my little sisters to start dating, because it will really be fun to pick on their boyfriends. David Gallagher My advice, Be healthy, reach your own goals and don't be afraid to impersonate a SNL star. Teri Hatcher There were around 1,000 stores when I was made president. Fred L. Turner Most women put off entertaining until the kids are grown. Erma Bombeck

We want to obviously foster a relationship that we're a partner with states; that we

all share the same goals of closing the achievement gap, just as the Congress does; and that we're practical and sophisticated enough to understand what they're talking about. Margaret Spellings Watched Star Wars in 77 and that's when I got into watching films. I was just blown away by it. Debra Wilson Much wisdom often goes with fewest words. Abraham Lincoln I like people who have a pulse and aren't afraid to show it. Stephan Jenkins

I feel that David took a risk with me. I have a sense that by

starting off in the theatre and going off to do films you are seen to sell out in some way. I don't hold truck with that, but you can't stop people from feeling it. Julia Ormond Without the Empire we should be tossed like a cork in the cross current of world politics. It is at once our sword and our shield. Billy Hughes To be prepared for war is one of the most effective means of preserving peace. George Washington Experts often possess more data than judgment. Colin Powell The desire to become a journalist came really because I very much like living abroad, and like to travel, and wanted to be paid for it. John Pomfret

I am considering two things on a daily basis: what is right to do and

what is wrong to do in my role as President of my people. According to my conscience, I am trying to abide by the right. My vision is peace. My vision is prosperity. Boris Trajkovski The thing that is incredible is life itself. Why should we be here in this sun-illuminated universe? Why should there be green earth under our feet? Edwin Markham An athlete who tells you the training is always easy and always fun simply hasn't been there. Goals can be elusive which makes the difficult journey all the more rewarding. Alberto Salazar 1 + 1 = 2. Everything else is derived. Craig Bruce Every great mistake has a halfway moment, a split second when it can be recalled and perhaps remedied. Pearl S. Buck

Depend upon it that if a man talks of his misfortunes there is something in

them that is not disagreeable to him; for where there is nothing but pure misery there never is any recourse to the mention of it. Samuel Johnson Our identities have no bodies, so, unlike you, we cannot obtain order by physical coercion. We believe that from ethics, enlightened self-interest, and the commonweal, our governance will emerge. John Perry Barlow To sentence a man of true genius, to the drudgery of a school is to put a racehorse on a treadmill. Samuel Taylor Coleridge I have trouble voicing my thoughts... I can't communicate very well that way. Ayumi Hamasaki Human history is highly nonlinear and unpredictable. Michael Shermer

It's good to have it over with. I worked on it a long time, and

I didn't know what people were going to think of it. Would people like it? Would they buy it? So far it's been doing pretty well. Michael Chabon I have no doubt I was someone very interesting in a past life. Patricia Velasquez There is no faculty of the human soul so persistent and universal as that of hatred. Henry Ward Beecher I am trying to think of the last time that I just said, 'What the hell!' and did something crazy. Jennifer Aniston To believe only possibilities is not faith, but mere philosophy. Thomas Browne

garden. The Pentateuch not only presents where we began but also why we are not there any more, and why and how we need to get back. David Baker Each man must look to himself to teach him the meaning of life. It is not something discovered: it is something molded. Antoine de Saint-Exupery I never was really into comics as a child, and I think if you miss the boat when you're a kid, you don't necessarily pick up on it when you're an adult. Victoria Pratt To expect the unexpected shows a thoroughly modern intellect. Oscar Wilde Refusal to believe until proof is given is a rational position; denial of all outside of our own limited experience is absurd. Annie Besant

The purposes of the United States should not be doubted. The Security Council resolutions will

be enforced - the just demands of peace and security will be met - or action will be unavoidable. And a regime that has lost its legitimacy will also lose its power. Colin Powell I am emphatically against the privatization of Social Security. It is going to hurt millions of American women, American families and ultimately the whole country. Barbara Mikulski Science is the knowledge of consequences, and dependence of one fact upon another. Thomas Hobbes People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it. Unknown We talked about Tootsie, the idea in Tootsie is that a man becomes a better man for having been a woman. Sydney Pollack

I think, like many others, I realized that only the massive introduction of American support

in one form or another, could possibly bring about a rehabilitation of the economies of those countries within a reasonable time. David K. E. Bruce Real obstacles don't take you in circles. They can be overcome. Invented ones are like a maze. Barbara Sher A Sunday school is a prison in which children do penance for the evil conscience of their parents. H. L. Mencken The joke that I make is that there are instances on the TV series that happen to me, - except on Sex and the City they always make it better or worse than real life and I am actually saying that in a joking way. Candace Bushnell All my movies, like Revenge, are under two hours. Tony Scott

You must learn day by day, year by year to broaden your horizon. The more

things you love, the more you are interested in, the more you enjoy, the more you are indignant about, the more you have left when anything happens. Ethel Barrymore The show has boundaries right now we're trying to widen them not break them. George Eads If I take care of my character, my reputation will take care of me. Dwight L. Moody Those who are of the opinion that money will do everything may reasonably be expected to do everything for money. Judy Collins

What is a face, really? Its own photo? Its make-up? Or is it a face

as painted by such or such painter? That which is in front? Inside? Behind? And the rest? Doesn't everyone look at himself in his own particular way? Deformations simply do not exist. Pablo Picasso Everybody is sitting around saying, 'Well, jeez, we need somebody to solve this problem of bias.' That somebody is us. We all have to try to figure out a better way to get along. Wilma Mankiller There was a time when the world acted on books; now books act on the world. Joseph Joubert New Zealand is not a small country but a large village. Peter Jackson Fire and swords are slow engines of destruction, compared to the tongue of a Gossip. Richard Steele

I also hate those holidays that fall on a Monday where you don't get mail,

those fake holidays like Columbus Day. What did Christopher Columbus do, discover America? If he hadn't, somebody else would have and we'd still be here. Big deal. John Waters Truth is stranger than fiction; fiction has to make sense. Leo Rosten The first essentials, of course, is to know what you want. Robert Collier It should seem, then, that the nature of society dictates another, a higher branch, whose superiority arises from its being the interested and natural conservator of the universal interest. Ezra Stiles We have the notion that we exist but we have no way to prove it. 'I am' is the closest foundation we can get. Stan Brakhage

I don't understand why some people will only accept a guitar if it has an

instantly recognizable guitar sound. Finding ways to use the same guitar people have been using for 50 years to make sounds that no one has heard before is truly what gets me off. Jeff Beck A son can bear with equanimity the loss of his father, but the loss of his inheritance may drive him to despair. Niccolo Machiavelli I think I'm as content as one can be. Nikki Cox Your security is not in the hands of Kerry, Bush or al-Qaida. Your security is in your own hands. Osama bin Laden None of them want to delay. Understand that. None of them. Jack Kevorkian

I became alienated from this religious upbringing, and started making music. I wanted to be

a big star. All those things I saw in the films and on the media took hold of me, and perhaps I thought this was my god: the goal of making money. Cat Stevens When death comes it is never our tenderness that we repent from, but our severity. George Eliot We can serve our customers well only if our buying jobs are right. You cannot sell if you haven't ordered wanted goods into your store. James Cash Penney My mother's illness fitted into this protest against the treatment of the sick who could not pay, the inefficiency of commercialism, the waste, the extravagance, and the poverty. Ellen Wilkinson As in political so in literary action a man wins friends for himself mostly by the passion of his prejudices and the consistent narrowness of his outlook. Joseph Conrad

In my mind's eye, I visualize how a particular... sight and feeling will appear on

a print. If it excites me, there is a good chance it will make a good photograph. It is an intuitive sense, an ability that comes from a lot of practice. Ansel Adams It... is the best opportunity we've had in the last 25 years to bring about a settlement in Northern Ireland, and I think we should leave no stone unturned to achieve that. Dick Spring Hey, look at this guy Kenny G. with his thing, walking up and down the aisles of the concert hall and running off the stage and playing the same time. It's old hat! Jerome Richardson The fearful unbelief is unbelief in yourself. Thomas Carlyle The piano has been drinking, not me. Tom Waits

You can't be as old as I am without waking up with a surprised look

on your face every morning: 'Holy Christ, whaddya know - I'm still around!' It's absolutely amazing that I survived all the booze and smoking and the cars and the career. Paul Newman I don't think art is propaganda; it should be something that liberates the soul, provokes the imagination and encourages people to go further. It celebrates humanity instead of manipulating it. Keith Haring The flood of money that gushes into politics today is a pollution of democracy. Theodore White But once we got them on its feet then they run themselves, unless there's corrections you have to make. Jerry Bruckheimer That friendship will not continue to the end which is begun for an end. Francis Quarles

I'd like to say from the beginning that the 12 years I've been coming here,

I've met unfailing courtesy and cooperation, courtesy from your people and cooperation from the Ministry of Information. Peter Arnett I have always struggled to achieve excellence. One thing that cycling has taught me is that if you can achieve something without a struggle it's not going to be satisfying. Greg LeMond Time is generally the best doctor. Ovid You get on TV and you become more of a star and it makes it real hard to go back to school and sit in a classroom, put your hand up if you have a question or something. Owen Hart For my part, I consider that it will be found much better by all parties to leave the past to history, especially as I propose to write that history myself. Winston Churchill

Joan Van Ark I grew up in Fall River, Massachusetts. My background was modest, and I worked at a Portuguese bakery in town. Emeril Lagasse The American fascist would prefer not to use violence. His method is to poison the channels of public information. Henry A. Wallace

I attribute my entire football career, as far as getting me started, getting me interested,

keeping me that way was my father. He went to every game even though he was crippled and wasn't real healthy. Bob Lilly Every reasonable human being should be a moderate Socialist. Thomas Mann As our case is new, we must think and act anew. They all want to buy me a shot, and pretty soon I'm throwing up. Jimmy Kimmel For most of the '90s and the first part of this decade, content providers who wanted to publish online only needed to worry about the graphical web browser. Mike Davidson

The idea is that the state doesn't have rights to limit individuals' wants and passions.

I disagree with that. I think we absolutely have rights because there are consequences to letting people live out whatever wants or passions they desire. Rick Santorum One accusation you can't throw at me is that I've always done my best. Alan Shearer At this moment in time I did not say them things. Glenn Hoddle The fact is that a man who wants to act virtuously in every way necessarily comes to grief among so many who are not virtuous. Niccolo Machiavelli We are the creative force of our life, and through our own decisions rather than our conditions, if we carefully learn to do certain things, we can accomplish those goals. I believe we are still so innocent. The species are still so innocent that a

person who is apt to be murdered believes that the murderer, just before he puts the final wrench on his throat, will have enough compassion to give him one sweet cup of water. Maya Angelou The situation in Iraq will be long, it will be expensive and it will be difficult. But in the end, Iraq will very much be worth it. Robert Foster Bennett Let us be tried by our actions. So, there's always a new generation with new music. Bobby Vinton Bitmap display is media compatible with dot matrix or laser printers. Bill Joy

Jonathan Davis Thus, in a sense, mathematics has been most advanced by those who distinguished themselves by intuition rather than by rigorous proofs. I think that it's a vital moment now for Russian democracy to convince people that
